Whistle

May 19, 2003 - 10:51pm

Email from Karen that I overlooked, "Hey I stood in the kitchen and blew the whistle and tiger came running from the front room! Yay!"

We're teaching Tiger "come" with a dog whistle. It seems to be working.

Whistle training is easy... start with a voice command and then add the whistle, after he gets used to it just remove the voice command. Start with voice commands first. This way you can use diffent whistle tones for differnt tricks. Remeber avoid treats for just coming to the whistle or the whistle will just mean treats. Make it coming to you and sitting and staying for a minute. This way you can teach him to do really cool stuff.
