Tour De Fat 2009
New Belgium Brewery knows how to throw and awesome party. Tour De Fat in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, October 10, 2009 was awesome! Tons of money (tens of thousands of dollars!!!) was raised for Tempe Bicycle Action Group, Bike Saviours, and The Mountain Bike Association of Arizona. At the end of the party, it was announced that Tempe raised the most money of any city that has held Tour De Fat this year. Awesome!
Chris and I spent the first half of the festival volunteering. We helped at Wristband Camp, where IDs were checked and wristbands administered. For about three hours it was fast and furious, but everyone was really great. Then we got to enjoy the afternoon together and with many of our friends.
