time alone v. dating
happiness at work v. money

Every time I hear someone refer to 'balance' in the context of a life parameter, I think of that scene in The Karate Kid where he's standing on the bow of the boat and Miyagi starts rocking it to knock him off. Because, short Okinawans can really screw up your day if you're not careful. I think that's the secret to balance.
