Radio that finally gets me moving

There's been some discussion in the Dallas area regarding the new station playing on 106.7FM. Karen turned it on a couple weeks ago as we were cleaning house and I couldn't believe it was radio. All dance music all the time. Now, this is my kind of radio! I had been enjoying it for a week or so when I realized it was actually a loop of the same songs. Not so great but who am I to complain? I'm finally getting music I like and it was commercial free. Definitely had me wondering if someone was broadcasting out of the house (but it seemed too strong for that) and I kept thinking it was going to be turned off. Then Leia did some research and enlightened us on the situation. Today I heard a real station identification, and it sounds like KKDL 106.7 is going to be dance music. Whoohoo!

Dance music is good....for dancing and cleaning house....but I prefer ROCK! What can I say? I'm a "Rocker"!

my boy and i found that a few days ago. It's about time the metroplex caught up; Austin's had an all dance station for a quite a while.

Andrea, I'm SO with you!!! I can't stand the "Like A Prayer" remix and HAVE to change the channel each time. It's awesome to know I'm not the only one.

KKDL is great!! Mostly European dance mix... my favorite! I just can't wait until they get DJs, and a request line, so I can request Sandra, Me&My and Whigfield -- they haven't added those yet. I hope when they get DJs that they will announce the songs, artists, and labels so we can search the Internet to buy the CDs... but I certainly DO NOT want another "Kidd Craddick" type DJ talking non-stop for 3 hours in the morning! I also hope that they add a lot more songs from the artists they play, including the new hits just out as well as the good album cuts. This station is truly a breath of fresh air in an otherwise boring radio market. I hope it remains on the air here in this format for a very long time. Jan

It was really nice to hear some dance music such as trance, house, and remixes of other dance songs on the radio out here in Texas. I just moved out here from the San Fransisco Bay Area in Ca. 3 weeks ago and as my bro and I were flipping through the dials at 2am coming down the 287 it was very NICE. I actually DJ back home and had a show called Rythmatic that featured this format and live mixes sooo it was a nice ice breaker comming into new territory. Maybe i can get work at KKDL and help them expand their playlist.We will see. i really hope the station takes off. So maybe I will meet some of you supporters out on the town as I check out the music scene out here in the Big "D" look for the guy with dark hair and big smile. Paul
