Music at Work = Happiness

November 4, 2004 - 9:32pm

A coworker shared her music folder with me today, and I'm totally happy sitting here plugging away. I've forgotten how wonderful it is to don the headphones and jam away. Right now I'm listening to Erasure and totally feel like I'm in high school again! It's fantastic.

Music at Work = Happiness = Stolen Company Resources = Lower Profits = Less Jobs = Increased Social Assistance = Increased Taxes or simply Music at Work = Poor Government

Actually, the music is helping me be more productive than I've been in days. So, really, Music at Work = Productivity = Happy Customers = More Profits = Better Economy. :P

I dont know but it seems like I get more done since the music keeps me in my seat(because I am less distracted). Plus people are less likely to talk you if you have headphones on. And even if they do, you wouldnt hear them anyway.

I run my iPod through my computer's speakers - just loud enough that I can hear it, but not loud enough that the sound travels out of my cube. The only thing I have to be weary of is when "Shuffle Songs" brings up a non-work-safe track, like "Uncle F***a". (Which I should probably remove, but...)
