Chris's Parents' Visit

A few weekends ago, Chris's parents came to visit. It was great to see them since we hadn't been together in awhile. The entire weekend was wonderful - the conversation, the weather, the activities, the food...everything!

Highlights:
The Chihuly show at the Desert Botanical Gardens
I really enjoy Chihuly's work (though I know there's valid criticism of him/his process) and I love the Desert Botanical Gardens. Together they made for a rather wonderful afternoon. Chris did a great job of taking

Dinner at Phoenix City Grill
The food at Phoenix City Grill is always amazing and I was pleased the Chris's parents enjoyed it as much as I do. It was packed on a Friday night yet we were seated immediately. The only disappointment is the chef's special was already sold out when we went to order. The buttermilk pie was heavenly.

Dinner at Different Pointe of View
Saturday night we had a very fancy dinner at Different Pointe of View at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. This is a great restaurant with an amazing view of the Valley. It was such a treat.

Just hanging out
We all just enjoyed being together and talking. I consider myself exceptionally lucky to enjoy Chris's parents so much. Chris has a great relationship with them, which makes it really easy for me. Chris's parents are also very interesting people with lots of interesting experiences and perspectives to share. Having them visit really made me happy.
